Youth
On July 4th 1968, I was born in Woerden, I lived there briefly and got the rest of my youth in North Holland. Since my early years I mark, paste, cut, and paint very much.
Training
In 1989 I decided to continue to study art in Amsterdam.
The first two years I followed study in the Free Academy. Now called the MIX. Then I selected more for the craft to the Wackers Academy, the first three years of the five year course they gave a lot of attention to the craft, first learn the shapes and basic drawing and painting. But the side of illustration drew me more and that the Academy could not give me this unfortunately.
My passion
I think to illustrate is the best there is. In Amsterdam I often saw posters of artists and museums. So I saw work by Redon, and what remained to me of him is his pastel-like colors.
Now I live in Zutphen and I think the world around me is a source of inspiration! Sometimes I see something small and then I make a picture in my head! I have great imagination and I love it, every time it is a gift that my fantasy world is transformed in a small world on paper.
My passion is my own webshop and to design jolly nice postcards!
